Jerico Transmission Price List
These lightweight aluminum transmissions weigh 74 lbs (a full 34 lbs lighter than a stock iron toploader). They are best known for their reliability and ability to withstand hours of continued punishment under the most extreme conditions. Straight-cut gears and dog ring type synchros give you the ability to shift these transmissions with lightening speed with or without the clutch. Unlimited gear selection enables you to custom tailor your gear sets for each track and driver's personal preference. Reduced rotating weight and drag due to precision cut gears with fully rollerized mainshaft and tailshaft reduces temperature while increasing driveline horsepower. Every Jerico racing transmission is built to order. Supplied with 26 spline input shaft for Ford pilot bearing; also requires JER-1350YMW slip yoke (see Transmission Yokes). Pictured with optional Pro-Billet shifter installed.

Jerico Transmission Ford
T5s are popular for street use where OD is wanted and not pushing a lot of power or doing drag launches.
Richmond still offers the GM-version Super T-10 and their 5 speed with OD (based on the old DougNash 5 speed).
TKOs are popular for higher powered street machines that aren't shifting at high rpms (stock TKO's aren't designed for shifting much over 6000 rpm ... can get upgraded ones from e.g. Libertys Gears).
Some have used the Legend Gear LGT700 5 speed ... but not sure if they are still available?
T56s have been done by a few wanting better shifting and gear spread than the TKO for higher powered street cars.
For racing, if the T10 isn't up to the job, Libertys or GForce 4 or 5 speeds are likely the way to go ... or a Jerico if budget allows. Drag use needs a slipper-style clutch for the transmission to live, e.g. McLeod SoftLok.
Most of the aftermarket transmission options are either GM or Ford based so need an appropriate short bell and other modifications to work. Not aware of any direct bolt-in options for the T10.
T5 can work with a stock short SR4/T5 bell (still available new from Jeep places) so typically the most economical option with least amount of modifications to fit, but need a race version, e.g. GForce or Astro, to get something stronger than a T10.
Hope this helps,RD.
PS. I'm running a T56 Magnum behind a 401 in my Javelin.
